Talk Like Tigers-Gunning (Xaatu remix)

Xaatu, if you can remember a few months back, was the EDM artist who had dropped an amazing few tracks over the winter period and breathed new life into a drudging, music drained few months. While this particular stretch of time with arbitrary numbers attached to it has yielded some pretty nice bits and pieces, it was nonetheless a lovely surprise to hear that Xatuu had pulled of a new track and I was logged in to Sound Cloud before you could say "don't log in to Sound Cloud".
The most fascinating thing I found in this new piece is Xaatu's in depth use of the pre-existing audio to create a track that feels both original and unique while still holding the style and character of TLT's original piece and losing very little of the songs true feel and meaning. The drops of the song remain very much the same but with Xaatu's twist added that changes the song from a more mellow vibe to an incredibly powerful sound that builds to an equinox and drags the listener upwards and upwards till they experience a form of musical nirvana. It continues with a pulsing upbeat drum sample that inclines the head to bob and the foot to stomp. The rhythm is near intoxicating and its a piece with a load of replay value, a song you can place in a summer mix and not forget its name just after it comes on shuffle, and a level of good vibes that I can imagine surrounding a beach party or a pool party (any gathering with water actually).
The track also contains some very nice back and forth mixing in a Flume like style, a feat that speaks both to the quality of the song and the excellence of the producer, and as such this is a track (and artists) you should definitely check out, they're well worth watching out for.
