Soham De has been making waves in the singer-songwriter community over the past couple of years; a host of highly popular videos on YouTube and bookings at prestigious festivals such as Evolution Emerging, Board Masters 2016 and as support for Gabrielle Aplin on the Newcastle leg of her UK tour mean the 19 year-old has been gathering a fair amount of attention.

Having recently featured in a beautiful Spotlight session by a river singing ‘Ghost’, Soham has resurfaced with a brand new session with Oak Sessions for his sombre, swinging song, “FE”, this time by a canal.

“The song was written about someone very close to me. With regards to themes, it's a love song I suppose but it's more about being there for some one you're close to and understanding that although times are hard, they'll get better.”

In this one-take video, Soham’s powerful and honest voice is complimented by some intricate yet sparse fingerpicking, and is given room to shine through to give a strongly emotional performance.
