Irate, grungy and downright infectious - Auto Immune prepare to release their new EP
Hailing from Darlington, alternative three-piece, Auto Immune have successfully established themselves in the alternative rock genre since the release of their widely hailed debut single ‘Chump’ and its accompanying album ‘Have It’ in early 2016.
With a renowned live presence and increasingly enthusiastic and numerous following, their new self-titled mini EP seems set to take them to even greater heights.
Frothing with attitude from start to finish, Auto Immune blends a noise-driven grunge style with a punky boldness indicative of some of the greats from both genres.
Yet the band never surrenders to mediocracy or conformity to a given genre, instead crafting something that is both unique and addictive in its abrasiveness.
EP opener, Tomb, with its themes of intense pain and misunderstanding will be accompanied by a music video in March and is written in support of the often misunderstood yet extremely important medical condition known as endometriosis.
The second track, Duck, was named by the band’s audience at a gig in Newcastle and offers a spikey criticism of a media worshipping culture and positively bursts with frustration and a need to spur us on to better days.
The third and final track named Blue to Grey has been submitted to BBC Introducing and has proven to be popular among their live audience. Blue to Grey wraps up the EP in style and solidifies the band’s quality offering of relentless, raw and unforgiving tunes.
