Single Review: Ellen Moss' 'Distonate'

Single Review: Ellen Moss' 'Distonate'

'Distonate' is the debut single from Ellen Moss, an alt-rock band made up of four lads from Newcastle and Sheffield.

This mid-tempo ballad opens with an intricate electric guitar, followed by heavy drums kicking in to remind you that this is a rock band despite the heartfelt love lyrics.
The occasional vocal harmonies give a warm feeling to the song and the chorus is easy to sing along to, which means you’ll be singing this to yourself at least for the rest of the day.

I’m still not sure what “Distonate” actually means, even after searching extensively online, but then many a great song has been written where words can mean whatever you want them to so who cares?!
I can see this track being universally welcomed from all types of music lovers. It’s the first track of four released from their upcoming EP, 'Eclipse', so I’m looking forward to enjoying more from Ellen Moss soon.

Distonate is available now from Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, Bandcamp, GooglePlay, along with a Youtube video.
