Bringing together so many artists and juggling so many fantastic venues is no easy feat, but yet again Generator has pulled it off with its 10th incarnation of the hugely successful Evolution Emerging festival.

Taking place on Saturday the 9th of June 2018, the day is jam-packed with emerging talent from the North East and beyond in an unparalleled showcase of what makes our music community awesome.

And where better to host these musicians than the gorgeous Ouseburn Valley area, with the celebrated Cluny2, Cumberland Arms and Tyne Bar opening their doors to the eager masses.
This year however we also get the chance to check out the lesser known gems of Newcastle's venue roster such as the much loved Cobalt Studios, Little Buildings Rehearsal Rooms and Blast Studios, allowing these underdogs to show their considerable worth.
These intimate additions will also include more unconventional 'venues' such as coffee/bike workshop Backyard Bike Shop and USA themed diner Mustang ‘S’ Alley which will no doubt prove to be iconic and unforgettable in their own right.

As if the locations weren't exciting enough, this year's lineup features some undeniable heavyweights and promising up and comers.
With over 50 artists playing throughout the festival, and an impressive range of genres, there will absolutely be something for everyone and we're confident you'll leave with more than a few new favourite musicians.

Headliners such as The Pale White and Cape Cub will be the centrepieces to this event, but we strongly encourage everyone attending to seek out something fresh and new in addition to experiencing their old favourites.
And, be it the wonderful acoustic musings Holly Rees or the punky attitude of Casual Threats, there's certainly many to choose from.
