3rd Aug - Ghost Signals / St Buryan / Asphodels / Pacer

Fresh-faced promoters Ryhme present everyone’s favourite noir-rockers Ghost Signals for their first headline show and potentially their last gig until next year. Taking place in the cozy secret cinema room at the Town Wall pub in Newcastle, you can expect a lively atmosphere when these 4 lads let loose with their catchy choruses and rocking riffs.
Making this an even more tempting show are the three superb supports: Sunderland’s glistening indie stars St Buryan, York’s alt-rockers Asphodel and exciting post-pop three-piece Pacer.
A great range of sounds and styles that is bound to be a popular choice for a Friday night!
4th Aug - Mayfare / Baltic / Mac The Gunner

Packed with jangly indie pop and youthful charms, Mayfare are very high on our list of local bands to watch. This latest headline show will be celebrating the release of their belter new single ‘Better Days’ and promises to be a scorching summer party at the popular seafront venue. Support comes from their talented pals Baltic and Mac The Gunner to get the grooves flowing right from the start so be sure to get down early for this weekend live music treat.
10th Aug - Fantasy & Fable Night Market

A showcase of local talent, celebrating small business, arts and culture in colorful surroundings at Kommunity in Newcastle’s city center. The August edition of the Night Market will be celebrating the world of fantasy, fable, fairy tales and myth. Alongside the trade stalls, food offerings and a fully stocked bar the lovely people from Oxjam Newcastle host a stage of live music that will welcome acts like Louise McCall, Jonathan Honour, Adam Littlemore, G-55 and The Clarions. It’s gonna be a magical night for young and old.
11th Aug - Songbird Presents: Para Alta / The Strands / The Bedlams
Location: Independent Sunderland
New artist promoters Songbird return for their second showcase event, this time at Independent Sunderland. The impressive roster of indie delights features Sunderland’s very own The Bedlams and The Strands alongside headliners Para Alta. The Hartlepool band are returning to the region from their new home in London to play this very special gig. All three acts are going to bring their own distinct sound and style that is bound to win them many more fans in the future. And as always with Songbird events, there will be an official after party hosted by Common Sunderland to keep the energy flowing until the early morning.
11th Aug - Mousetival 2018

Teesside chaos-rock duo Mouses return to host another edition of this gem of a DIY festival at their spiritual home after last year's huge success – and of course this year’s line-up promises to be even bigger and better for 2018. With the focus on the many unconventional and daring acts emerging from the North East and beyond, some of the acts playing alongside the exhilarating Mouses themselves are the likes of Cowtown, Pet Crow, Milk Crimes , Ghost Guilt, Dressed Like Wolves, Swine Tax, Slurs, The Noise and the Naive and many more! 17th Aug - Endless Window Presents: Roxy Girls / Cave Suns / Pit Pony / Suda

Another scorcher of a show brought to you by the resourceful team at Endless Window. Showcasing some of the most exciting talent from far and wide, this time fast-paced rockers Roxy Girls from Sunderland take the headline slot with their exciting new sound that has been grabbing the attention wherever they appear. Also on the lineup are Cave Suns whose long list of influences help to create their unpredictable style, whilst eclectic rock assemble Pit Pony and lo-fi pop duo Suda are guaranteed to get the night off to a strong start.
