Steadfast live music promoters Rhyme present their first show of 2019, and it is bound to warm your hearts and sooth your soul on a wintery Friday night! Emotive singer-songwriter Matt Dunbar has already impressed us during his shows with the wonderful Holly Rees and he truly deserves his own headline show. Accompanied by his band, the Autonomous Collective, expect candid mellow tunes uplifted by serene vocals. Support comes from Huddersfield indie outfit Mahatma Raindrop, folk duo Dolan Springs and folk/blues singer-songwriter Alex Kirtley. “Lush” is the only way to describe this dreamy line-up!

Location: Fabio’s Durham 
A brand new free entry event showcasing the best talent in the Durham area. Catch promising alt-rockers The Yada Yada Yadas with their nostalgic fuzzy alt-rock plus Pop-Punk band Your Graduation and acoustic singer/songwriter Jamie Longthorne.

The Reytons / Sleeptape / Ghost//Signals

Location: The Cluny – Newcastle

Manchester promoters Scruff Off The Neck are starting to spread their wings north to bring us this incredible indie feast. Headed up by unapologetically feisty South Yorkshire band The Reytons, you can expect high tempo tunes brimming with guitars and sharp-tongued lyrics. Two of our favourite local acts have also been drawn in to elevate this show to an unmissable level: the utterly charming dark indie-pop marvels that are Ghost//Signals and the always mind-blowing rockers Sleeptape who are set to impress with their high energy live show and staggering vocal power.
You can’t go wrong with this one!

Leicester based Rock 'n' Roll band Gazelle promise a bouncing show at Sunderland's Independent with their heavily brit-pop infused sound. Support comes from North East rockers Spring Jarpsy and singer-songwriter Ryan Robinson.

Local music scene legend Jay Landman is throwing himself an open-to-all birthday gig featuring much loved electro-rock trio Twist Helix, infectious rockers Echolines, quirky indie-garage-disco outfit Bugeye and architectural punksters NOVYI LEF.

Our fascination with brooding alt-rockers Laurens Court is hard to deny, so if you haven’t seen this Newcastle five-piece yet (or simply can’t get enough of them like us) this one is a no brainer!
And with the venue as intimate as the miniscule Surf Café, things are sure to get hot and sweaty when these gents unleash their immersive performance that never shies away from crowd interaction.
