Spotlight Sessions: Diving Station
Harp. Driven. Rock.
Three words I can almost guarantee you have never thought about putting together and for good reason with the word 'harp' seeming to be the opposite of 'rock'. Luckily we live in a world where stranger things have happened and as such Diving Station exist. These plucky musicians of Manchester first popped up on our radar a few months back at a Sofar sound at Quilliam Bro’s Teahouse and we were immediately set on having them perform. Luckily they are not only incredibly talented musicians but lovely people and, skip forward a few months, they trekked from Manchester to Newcastle with the most non-portable instrument (bar like drums and a grand piano) to arrive at the barn and make-a some-a music to which they did to such a high standard that it’s getting harder and harder to pick the best session (although we would never play favourites).
Anywho please enjoy this surreal yet beautiful performance by the mancunian musicians and don’t forget to check us out on facebook, instagram and on our website at Spotlightuk.co.uk.
